Yearly plan vs paying per wedding
Paying per wedding suits studios that deliver a handful of weddings a year, while a yearly plan usually works out better once delivery is steady. Dellro offers both: yearly plans with an upload allowance from $219, and pay-as-you-go packs valid for 12 months from $55, so you can match the plan to your season.

Per-delivery pricing is easy to understand: one wedding, one fee. The catch is that the fee often scales with every booking, and it can be hard to predict the cost of a busy season. A yearly allowance turns delivery into a fixed cost you can plan around. The honest answer depends on how much you upload, so here are the numbers.
| Paying per wedding | Dellro gallery | |
|---|---|---|
| How it is priced | Usually a fee for each delivery | A yearly upload allowance, or pay-as-you-go packs |
| Busy seasons | Cost often rises with every booking | Fixed yearly price within your allowance |
| Quiet seasons | You pay only when you deliver | Packs valid 12 months suit lighter years |
| Storage | Often charged again to keep files online | Allowance counts uploads in a year, not what is stored |
| Old weddings | Sometimes count toward ongoing limits | Delivered weddings never use next year's allowance |
| Studio tools | Often reserved for higher tiers | Templates, scheduled emails and insights on every plan |
| Team | Usually one account | Solo 1 login, Studio 3, Signature 10 |
| Trying it | Usually pay on first delivery | 14 days of every Studio feature and 25 GB to use within 12 months |
The honest maths
Here is what Dellro costs per gigabyte uploaded, using yearly prices (monthly billing costs 20% more):
- Solo: $219 for 200 GB a year, about $1.10 per GB.
- Studio: $849 for 1 TB a year, about $0.85 per GB.
- Signature: $1,899 for 5 TB a year, about $0.38 per GB.
- Pay as you go: 50 GB for $55, 100 GB for $105 and 500 GB for $469, each valid 12 months. A 100 GB top-up is $99.
As a worked example, suppose your weddings average 40 GB of finished films and photos. Solo's 200 GB covers five of those a year, Studio's 1 TB covers about twenty-five, and Signature's 5 TB covers well over a hundred. Your own sizes will differ, so use the delivery size calculator with your real exports.
When paying per wedding is fine
- You deliver only a few weddings a year and your volume varies a lot.
- You are testing a new service, such as adding film to a photo business.
- You want to start without a yearly commitment. Dellro's pay-as-you-go packs cover this too.
When a yearly plan is better
- Your bookings are steady and you want a cost you can plan around.
- You want white-label galleries and your own domain, included from the Studio plan.
- You have a team that needs more than one login, or you run a second brand on Signature.
How to move over
- 1Add up last seasonTotal the size of the films and photos you delivered last year. That is your yearly upload need.
- 2Start freeTry every Studio feature for 14 days with 25 GB of uploads to use within 12 months.
- 3Pick a plan or a packChoose the yearly plan that covers your total, or a pack if your volume is light. Payments are in rand through PayFast; outside South Africa your card issuer converts.
Whichever way you pay, galleries keep the same features for your couples. Compare every plan when you see pricing.
Questions
- Does monthly billing cost more?
- Yes. Monthly billing costs 20% more than the yearly price.
- How long are pay-as-you-go packs valid?
- Pay-as-you-go packs are valid for 12 months: 50 GB for $55, 100 GB for $105 and 500 GB for $469.
- What happens if I run out of allowance?
- You can add a 100 GB top-up for $99, or move to a larger plan.
- Do weddings I already delivered count against next year?
- No. The allowance counts what you upload in a year, not what is stored, so delivered weddings never use next year's allowance.
