You decide what can be downloaded

Some studios include downloads in every package. Others prefer streaming only, or offer downloads as an extra. Dellro lets you choose whether films and photos can be downloaded, so the gallery matches what you agreed with the couple.

How long clients can download and watch

The policy is simple to explain to a couple, and the gallery shows them the date with a quiet note, so nobody is caught by surprise.

• First 12 months from gallery creation: original files can be downloaded
• After 12 months: films download in 1080p and photos in web size
• At least three years: streaming continues, so the gallery keeps playing
• A quiet note in the gallery shows the date, so couples know when to save their originals

Downloading photo sets

Each photo set, such as Getting Ready, Ceremony or Reception, can be downloaded as a ZIP when you allow downloads. On paid plans, couples can also heart favourites and send the list to you for albums and prints. See the photo and video gallery page for more on photo sets.

Why originals are protected even after 12 months

After 12 months the live copy of an original is retired, but the original stays in the locked copy and the long-term vault copy, and galleries keep playing. The details are on the three-copy protection page.

If a studio's membership ends

While you are a member of a film plan (Solo, Studio or Signature), galleries are kept for life. On the Photo plans, galleries stay online for 3 years from creation, then are archived and can be restored on request. If membership ends, galleries stay online for at least 12 months afterwards, and never less than three years from creation. Emails go out 60 and 14 days before removal, and renewing keeps everything.
